If you are a Truckee local, you may have seen the construction site near the Truckee airport off of highway 267 and wondered what all the bustle was about. With Truckee growing in more ways than one, a new community shopping center, “Soaring Ranch” was born. Since the announcement of the Soaring Ranch shopping center, it has become one of the most anticipated projects in the Truckee area.
Soaring Ranch will be an aesthetically dynamic shopping center that blends with Truckee’s natural landscapes and new communities. Not only will it be the home to our third retail location (our second Truckee location). It will be a new home to local retailers and restaurants with services convenient to the East Truckee communities we know and love.
Mountain Hardware & Sports had the idea to open a new store for some time, but the right location hadn’t yet presented itself. So, in early 2018, when the town of Truckee approved the new Soaring Ranch shopping center to be built, we knew we had to jump on the opportunity.
The Soaring Ranch shopping center seemed like a perfect fit for us to grow our company while continuing to support the Truckee community. The new store plans to feature your favorite name brands in sporting goods, apparel, paint, hardware, home decor, and much more. “We are working hard on finalizing the floor layout and the merchandise assortment. While this location will be smaller than our Donner Pass store, it’s exciting and challenging to create a second location in Truckee that will meet our customer’s expectations in both product and shopping experience.” said, Doug Wright – our President & CEO.
While our roots are still planted at our Donner Pass Rd. location, we’re excited to bring our same love and passion for outdoor mountain lifestyle goods to our new Soaring Ranch location – just a hop, skip and jump away.
